In the past 4 weeks, the class has covered the following topics: udon, soba, serving trays, Hozen cuisine, aesthetics, regional cuisine(kansai, kanto, the Ainu, the Ryukyuans), seaweed, place settings, yoshoku, food taboo, kyushoku, ekiben, etc. Quiz 2, like Quiz 1, is a pre-final paper. It should include your preconceptions and the corresponding new things you’ve learned in the class, which should be against some of the course readings.
