Mary Wollstonecraft Article: https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/wollstonecraft-mary/1792/vindication-rights-woman/ch01.htm
In the two argumentative articles that we read this week, Michael Kimmel and Mary Wollstonecraft both attempted to make logically compelling arguments about unfair, restrictive gender roles. However, they chose opposite logical approaches, one arguing inductively and the other arguing deductively. So who used which?
Prompt
Which author used inductive logic to make their argument? How do you know? Which author used deductive logic? How do you know?
Keep in mind that any argument will likely use SOME of both logical approaches. However, each of these articles clearly uses one as its DOMINANT logical mode. That is, it uses one MORE THAN THE OTHER.
Requirements
Your response should be 2 short paragraphs, one focusing on each author/text. Each should begin with a topic sentence indicating which logical approach the author used and be followed by 3-5 sentences explaining your reasoning.
